WA Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson announced on Monday 3rd January 2022 the requirement for West Australians to need to provide proof they are double-dose vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter pubs, clubs and music festivals under new COVID-19 protocols.
So what forms of proof are acceptable under the new protocol?
Digital Proof (phone) – Photo ID will also be required
• The COVID-19 Digital Certificate (from MyGov or Medicare Apps)
• Immunisation History Statement (from My Gov or Medicare Apps)
• Official Medical Exemption (from MyGov or Medicare Apps)
• The above may also be saved in your phone's wallet as official documents
• Express Plus Medicare and ServiceWA App provides proof of vaccination with a holographic watermark and unique document number
Paper/Printed Copies – Photo ID will also be required
• The COVID-19 digital Certificate (from MyGov or Medicare Apps)
• Immunisation History Statement (from My Gov or Medicare Apps)
• Official Medical Exemption (from MyGov or Medicare Apps)
However, we are not able to accept screenshots, or copied PDF documents unless they are actually in the above apps. The government has deemed these unacceptable due to the potential of forgery.
